Is healthcare.gov an example of what happens when the government forces itself into the private sector?

Update:

Beaver - If you want to get the same health care as the Prime Minister you have to go to Florida.

    Yes.

And North Korea is what happens when government struggles to provide at least an appearance that those already gobbled up sectors are functioning and gobbles up more and more of the private sector industries until it controls everything.

Why not the other way around? Perhaps the private sector, who looks at nothing but profit (as they should), should not be involved in government.

In this case, I'm not excusing the government. But you have to wonder why these private sector companies, will all their smart people, didn't just get it done. They are the experts, as their proposals all stated. So they should have known that more testing was needed (for example).

The website was designed through a contract with CGI, a Canadian technological outsourcing agency.

Maybe the mistake was the Government's trusting the private sector in the first place.

    Yes.

When a private company requests a contractor there is a lot of scrutiny to make that contract work. The future of the company may depend on it, not to mention the future of whoever is managing the contract.

But, as you can now see, in government, you cannot even find who is managing the contract. Everyone runs and hides. And if it fails, they waste more money on it.

The private sector tried to build the Panama Canal ; they failed and government had to do the job

Not really. Government is an inanimate entity and nothing happens unless humans take some action..... in this case humans who chose to purposely decided to violate the restrictions placed on government by our Constitution.

The private sector benefits enormously under ACA.
