weight loss and gynocomastia and fatty liver?

I am a 16 year old male. all my life i have been kinda chubby or fat however now it is getting kind of out of control. i do not feel confident or attractive anymore please help me. i am 5'9 and 210 pounds. i am starting to develop gynocomastia, (man boobs) and i feel as if they will never go away or they will be more noticeable if i lose weight, is this true? i feel very insecure and have notice one breast is slightly larger than the other. i also noticed that my penis size has significantly decreased compared to before. is this because of fat. and i am also starting to develope acne, could this be from being too fat or diet? Also, the doctors have told me i have fatty liver or liver inflammation. what can i do to treat this. i REALLY NEED HELP to get my life together. what can i do to lose weight, feel better. i want to get rid of all these problems and be healthy and attractive :(. i have dreams to one day be a firefighter and i need to be fit in order to do this. what can i do to help my liver, gynocomastia, lose weight and treat my acne???!!?!! is there still hope for me? are all of these things treatable? will i ever be able to live a normal life? what should i do, where should i start and how can i get there. please help me i feel depressed

    I will try to give you information that may be of help

    to you.

    There is about 5% fat inside a healthy liver. However,

    when the fat starts to build up in the liver, it can

    damage the liver cells. When the liver cells become

    damaged, the immune system of the body will respond

    to this and can cause inflammation to develop inside

    the liver, also. This is then, no longer Simple fatty

    liver, it is known as Steatohepatitis.

    There are different things that can cause fat build

    up inside the liver...though, this is not a completed

    list as they are finding more and more that could

    cause it in the medical research:

    alcohol consumption, certain kinds of medication

    (like steriods), diabetes, insulin resistance,

    weight gain, fast weight loss, malnourishment,

    metabolic disorders, some diseases make it

    more susceptible to develop it...like Hepatitis C,

    and others.

    If the cause is found and if it can be stopped,

    then the liver may heal. If not, it can proceed

    to a irreversible disease known as Cirrhosis of

    the liver.

    The doctor should inform you of the cause of your

    condition. If he feel you need to go on a diet,

    it would be best to refer you to a dietitian.

    They will be sure that the diet you go on is the

    best one for your body. They will want to keep

    your energy level up so you don't feel weak.

    They will also be sure your body gets all the

    nutrition from the food you eat: including

    proteins, fats, carb, glucose, vitamin, mineral,

    etc. Or the doctor may have pamphlets giving

    you a true idea what to consume.

    Until you are able to talk to your doctor about

    this and you are trying to lose weight, here is

    a simple guideline to follow:

    What is best to consume:

    1.fresh fruits and vegetables or frozen ones

    (try to avoid canned, since they are higher in sodium)

    2. lean cuts of meat, fish (no shellfish), and remove

    the skin from all poultry

    3. cereals lower in sugar: like shredded wheat

    biscuits, honey bunches of oats, cream of wheat,


    4. Skim, 1%, 2% milk instead of whole milk

    Lower fat cheese

    5. Use good oils sparingly...like canola, olive oil

    6. Try to avoid high preservative, prepackaged,

    and fast foods. Avoid open salad/food bars

    where people can accidentally cough or sneeze

    into them. (don't want to become sick and need

    to take more medication or it will weaken your

    body more.

    7. Avoid drinks with alot of sugar: soda pop,

    orange juice, fruit juice (you will see on the label

    that these can contain as much as 30 grams of

    sugar per serving.) It is best to eat fruit

    naturally then have all this added sugar.

    Male patients who have liver disease can develop

    gynocomastia if they are further advanced in this

    disease. You will need to discuss this with your

    doctor to see if this is from weight gain or liver


    Damage to the liver cells can occur in other ways

    than a fatty liver. Some of them can be prevented,

    but it is good to look at the list below...it can tell

    you what you can or should avoid:

    alcohol consumption, medication toxification,

    chemical exposure, mushroom poisoning,

    auto immune disease, hereditary/metabolic

    disorders, viral or parasite infections,

    cardiac/vascular problems, cyst/growth/tumors/cancer,

    biliary obstruction/malformation/infection,

    and there are others.

    Don't get discourage. It takes time to lose the weight.

    Take it one day at a time and do the best you can.

    Make sure you get enough exercise, but it is just as

    important to get enough sleep, also. It might be

    good to ask the doctor to check your thyroid.

    People who have thyroid hormone levels that

    are too low, have a slow metabolism from it.

    If you need replacement hormone because the

    thyroid is not providing it...once it is replaced,

    it will help you lose the weight more easily.

    This is just a suggestion.
