The answer is irrelevant. Hope is! It exists in spite of logic or reality. Personally I am glad it does in spite of logic. Often it embodies the aspirations of the vast majority of people who desire the end of all conflict, hunger, pain, and universal love. Are these things realistic? Of course not. Should they be hoped for? The desire for these things, the hope for these things, are what make us distinct. They are what make us human!

Hoping for the best yet realizing that the worst has happened is something we all do. Out of a bad thing we always hope for something good to come out of it.

Hope is a good thing as long as you don't let it cloud your logical judgement in any situation.
