Why is it that Obama is so illinformed about dropped health care plans and higher premiums?

Do you still agree that Obamacare is the greatest thing to hapopen to the U.S. like he said?

The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (P.L.111-148) and its supplemental Health Care and Education Reconciliation Act (P.L.111-152), a.k.a., the Affordable Care Act or Obama Care, is a four-year-old insurance reforms law that has been ruled constitutional by none other than Chief Justice John Roberts, a Bush appointee and a rightwing Republican.

The 5% of Americans who choose to buy individual insurance coverage plans have had about one-half of their population (around 2.5%) get their plans "closed for repairs" (canceled), and this is due to the procrastination by their insurers in making the policies be in compliance with the existing Affordable Care Act provisions.

I think our recession-reversing, nation-saving, economy-growing, jobs-creating, auto-industry-rescuing, sea-captain-freeing (from Somali pirates), green-energies-initiative-implementing (see recovery.gov), deficit-slashing, GOP-viciousness-transcending, insurers-reforming, banksters-regulating, federal-laws-enforcing, terrorist-attacks-preventing, nuclear-nonproliferation-summit-hosting, Chinese-trade-tariffs-imposing, international-trade-deals-negotiating, Dow-Jones-elevating, Iraq-war-ending, bin-laden-getting, middle-class-strengthening, Syrian-disarmament-deal-brokering, peace-deal-pushing President Obama simply chose to give the 1300 for-profit insurance companies the benefit of the doubt, believing that their CEOs would choose to comply with the law instead of spending multi-MILLIONS of dollars to fund an army of lobbyists and a flood of anti-reforms propaganda while PROCRASTINATING on making the changes needed to be in compliance with existing law.

Yes, the Affordable Care Act is indeed a long-awaited and much needed reforms package for the GOP-deregulated (corrupt and greedy) insurance industry.

Do you expect the President to be the national insurance commissioner?

How would he know insurers would cancel these old policies that under Obamacare were allowed to be grandfathered in if they pre-dated Obamacare or if they are not, they can be switched at any time. That is how insurance works even before Obamacare. Even though the government has told each state's insurance commissioners they can keep these policies, the insurance companies have told policyholders they may not get all the coverage back if they keep them.

Too many anti Obama folks need to get informed instead of repeating lies.

George W. was woefully ill informed about Weapons of Mass Destruction, yet Republicans never batted an eye. Now, just now, you care so much about accountablility? Is this something you can turn on and off? I wonder what will happen to your sense of accountability if/when a Republican gets back into office.

Are you suggesting that Obama would just sell his wonderful health plan to his loyal followers when in reality he had no idea how badly it would hurt the American people? That would be irresponsible, so there is no way Obama would do such a thing.

Either he is a puppet president whose strings are being controlled by someone else or he is intentionally trying to destroy America. If he is telling us the truth about what he doesn't know, then it is the former. If he is in charge; he is lying and trying to destroy America

He knows exactly what is happening. Let's put it this way - either this was a calculated move, to get everyone's insurance to drop them so they'd have no choice but to look to the government for their insurance, or he didn't see this coming. If he didn't see it coming, that would have to mean he'd have been too damn stupid to get elected President TWICE.

The problems can be fixed if the Republicans are willing to admit the law is here and not going away.

He is still far better than any alternative.

It doesn't effect him or any of the others that voted for it, so why should he care!
