Using two hard drives - do I need to install Windows twice?

If I have two hard drives in a computer, with one of them serving as a secondary backup, do I have to install Windows on both drives?

Or can I install Windows on only the main drive and still be able to access the storage drive's files?

No, for example my current computer has 3 drives, a boot drive with windows installed (SSD), a 1TB storage drive and the 500GB drive from my last computer that I salvaged all my data off and left in. Simply find a place in your case, put it in, plug in the sata and power connectors, and enable it in your bios or OS, no multiple install required.
