What to wear to my first tap/jazz class?
After over a year of begging my dad agreed to let me try tap and jazz! Yey but I guess i have a problem now because I don't have any of the uniform or shoes, I do have my ballet uniform but that's it. What o you suggest I wear to my first lesson because I don't want to look stupid in front of everyone :) Thanks

I would just wear your ballet uniform with a pair of yoga shorts over top. I dance jazz sometimes in barefoot but you will need tap shoes for tap.
These are the cheapest pairs I could find:

Hey! For jazz:
shoes- I wear the capezio gore jazz boot in tan, sooo comfy :)
outfit- my old studio was strict, black leo and an tights but my new studio is a little less strict. So try black capri yoga leggings (they're made for athletic activites so they wont rip as easily) and a semi-fitted t shirt (not too tight so you can't breathe or move, but not too loose so you're swimming in it)
I don't tap personally but my best friend does and she wears the balera lace up shoes in black (most studios wear black shoes for tap) and the same thing I said for jazz!Source(s): http://www.dancewearsolutions.com/dancewear/defaul... <--------- shop here! Great for dancewear

Check if your studio has a dress code. If it does, make sure to follow it. If not, I would wear bootie shorts/jazz pants/capri leggings and a t-shirt/crop top. Naturally wear jazz shoes for jazz and tap shoes for tap. Hope I helped!Source(s): Dancing for 10 years.
