Better place. The economy isn't shedding jobs like crazy anymore. Federal spending is way down. Americans have more protections from the abuses of private sector predators, like among credit card companies and health insurance providers.

The only way anyone can be critical of Obama's stewardship of the country is by ignoring the complete collapse of our economy during Bush's final year as president and how that has crippled Obama's ability to reproduce the economic growth seen during Bush's first seven years. One would also need to ignore how Republicans in Congress of done everything they can to obstruct and sabotage Obama's agenda for most of Obama's time in office. Anyone who claims the current state of the nation is a fair reflection of the success of Obama's agenda is not being fair.

Better, as well as he was able, given how the GOP have done everything they can to thwart him and the will of most citizens.

They have been determined to prevent any good from being done, and have succeeded to a large extent.

Still he has managed to do some good things.

Well if you are among the MAJORITY of Americans (who own US stocks) he has made your world a FAR better place, effectively more than DOUBLING your personal wealth during a period of 1-2% annual inflation.....but if you are among that minority Bush left "too poor" or just "too lacking in patriotism" to buy American, then I guess it sucks to be you!

    NASDAQ under G W Bush; 2,770 DOWN to 1,477 (Net LOSS 52%)

NASDAQ under Obama; 1,477 to 4,109 (up 2,632 points, or 178%)

Dow under G W Bush; 10,860 down to 8,279 by the time he left Office (Net loss -23.7%)

Dow under Obama ; 8,279 to 16,269 (up 7,990 points, or 97%) as of just now…

    S&P 500 under Bush; 1,343 to 805 (down 538 points, or 46%)

    S&P 500 under Obama; 805.22 to 1,819 (up 1,014 points or 126%) as of just now…

    2. there are more disabled people now, than when he was elected

    3. there are more people on food stamps now, than when he was elected

    4. the income gap between the rich and poor has increased, since he was elected

pretty much the only group that is better off now, than when 0bama was elected -- are his rich CEO buddies

Well, lets see. He has doubled the national debt (and liberals used to complain about Bushe's spending), he has doubled the # of people on food stamps (a person getting his food from the government is more likely to vote for the government) and welfare is at an all-time high, same reason. Have the liberals no shame? Borrowing trillions from their great great grandchildren...

Well many say the president is responsible for things that they are not. That said worse as he has increased disputes rather than compromising and working together.
