    The US's unprovoked attack on Iraq under George W Bush.

    The US internment of Japanese-Americans in WWII.

    The Nazi and Japanese aggression that led to WWII.

    Turkish genocide against Armenians and Kurds.

    Nazi genocides against almost everybody that they didn't like.

    Bombing cities filled with civilians in order to kill civilians (by the air forces of Japan, Germany, UK, US, Italy).

    Slavery being allowed under the US Constitution.

    The Roman sacking of Jerusalem and destruction of the Second Temple in 70 AD. (It was the army that did it, but it was the government's policy.)

    The sacking of hundreds of other cities by various governments over the centuries.
