Mixed attention seeking.... Help!?

I somehow want people to show me more empathy and feel sorry for me, but when they do I feel bad because I feel like I said something to force it out of them. So I still hold that desire for it with every little thing that goes wrong or even about my 'molested for 8 years' (long story, but true) childhood of mine. I'm getting tired of it and it makes me depressed just thinking about it. Any suggestions?

    Time to step up into adulthood and be responsible for your own emotional health. Stop manipulating others into being the parent for you.

    Get therapy help for the childhood trauma.
