No power after about 1/3 throttle?

I have a 1992 toyota pickup 22re, and as soon as I get to about 1/3, the more I press the gas, the less power I have, until the pedal gets right to the floor, then I instantly have full power. The engine sounds like it is working harder as I press down on the gas, but I have less power. Could this be the ignition timing, or something else?

Its probobly either the MAF/MAP sensor or the TPS (Throttle Position Sensor) from the way it sounds. You can check the timing if its adjustable (I have no clue on Toyota's). Cleaning your MAF (if it is a MAF not a MAP sensor) may get it running right and you may not have to replace it.
