Are people really so dumb they think vampires are real or are the questions in this section mostly jokes?

Update:

Well, that answers my question. LOL

Check off one for "people really are this dumb"

Update 2:

Update 3:

Sophie, it would be "you are or you're"

Update 4:

"Until a hundred years ago, the narwhale was a myth."

-The Narwhale has been hunted by Inuit people for thousands of years for meat and ivory.

Update 5:

Actually, I'm glad you brought up the Narwhale - it wasn't actually a myth. People in Europe thought a tusk and partial skull of a Narwhale belonged to a deceased Unicorn - which like vampires does not exist.

Apparently so. More than half the people who answered your question seem to either believe that these mythological critters exist, or are just too dim-witted (hi Sophie), to even understand what you're asking.

So yes, but it's not all stupidity just like being religious isn't entirely due to stupidity. Gullibility and ease of being indoctrinated with primitive superstition is not the same things as lack of intelligence, it just feels the same.

This section is mostly children. Thet get obsessed with TV shows & movies & games, all which they would like to be real. A lot are too lazy to do their own Research for "Their" homework too, so they don't get to read up on how & where these myths began & how much basis in fact there is in them, as well as how fictional they have become. .............. Another thing that you have to remember & take into account is, most people on here are Americans!! (enough said.)

Until a hundred years ago, the narwhale was a myth. Just because you have not seen one doesn't mean something doesn't exist.

Sadly yes, there are hundreds and hundreds of delusional teens that believe vampires, werewolves, mermaids, unicorns, and magic spells are real. And in a few more years, this huge group of delusional teens will be of voting age.

I fear for the future of our country.

It is mixture up of dumb people and jokes, I think mostly dumb people. Unless they are asking about the bats, in which case they are just in the wrong section.

    YES THERE VAMPIRES

Now a truth. There are Vampires but you can not be one of them. However you have the wrong idea as what they are. Read the truths below about real vampire bats..

    Fast Facts

    Type: Mammal

    Diet: Carnivore

Average lifespan in the wild: About 9 years

Size: Body, 3.5 in (9 cm); Wingspan, 7 in (18 cm)

Weight: 2 oz (57 g) (Varies; can double in one feeding.)

Bats are the only mammals that can fly, but vampire bats have an even more interesting distinction—they are the only mammals that feed entirely on blood.

These notorious bats sleep during the day in total darkness, suspended upside down from the roofs of caves. They typically gather in colonies of about 100 animals, but

sometimes live in groups of 1,000 or more. In one year, a 100-bat colony can drink the blood of 25 cows.

During the darkest part of the night, common vampire bats emerge to hunt. Sleeping cattle and horses are their usual victims, but they have been known to feed on

people as well. The bats drink their victim's blood for about 30 minutes. They don't remove enough blood to harm their host, but their bites can cause nasty infections and

    disease.

Vampire bats strike their victims from the ground. They land near their prey and approach it on all fours. The bats have few teeth because of their liquid diet, but those

they have are razor sharp. Each bat has a heat sensor on its nose that points it toward a spot where warm blood is flowing just beneath its victim's skin. After putting the

bite on an animal, the vampire bat laps up the flowing blood with its tongue. Its saliva prevents the blood from clotting.

Young vampire bats feed not on blood but on milk. They cling tightly to their mothers, even in flight, and consume nothing but her milk for about three months.

The common vampire bat is found in the tropics of Mexico, Central America, and South America.

many religions do include them, so you have to understand how offensive you're being. if you want to, repost another replacing "vampires" with God, or jesus, or mesiahs, in the spirituality section. it could be stupid to you, but to some it is spirituality. please respect that.

i am not religious at all, and i dont believe in them, but it is bigot to say believing so is dumb
