What are your thoughts on the fact that 18-year-olds are still minors in Nebraska, Alabama, and Mississippi?

    There choice. I actually agree that 18 yr olds still aren't grown up enough.

    My thoughts is that the state lawmakers feel this is best for their state. if there is enough people that don't agree with it, and want it to be 18 like the other states, those people have the right to contact their representatives and express their view on the subject. They also have the power of the vote, and can use that to vote in representatives that will work to change it.

    In a nutshell, as stated by electricpole, "States Rights at work."

    That's the beauty of state rights. If you don't like the laws in one state, move to another.

    No they aren't in those states the age of consent is 16 which means they are not minors.
