Abel ... I think of Cain and Abel and of East of Eden, where Aron was supposed to be Abel and he kinda had to have the world all his own way, so I don't associate the name very well.
Asher ... It's alright. My name being Ashley, I can't hate the ash part.
Benjamin ... never been fond of it.
Cain ... in East of Eden, Cain is Caleb and I have a good association with it, I suppose. Prefer it over Abel. I think it's nice.
Caleb ... despite the association with the character, I hate Caleb. I hate names with b's in them because they end so subtly.
Christian ... I've known too many and dislike naming a child after a religious occupation.
Daniel ... Love Daniel. Important to my mom's side of the family and I love it.
Dimitri ... my friend knew this boy who lived in Australia named this, and he played the meanest trick on her by saying he was dead and his sister kept it going for over a month and she was mortified because they had a little relationship going on and then he revealed he was actually alive and it was just bad. I have very negative association due to it, and I'm not fond of it very much to begin with.
Eli ... seems too short for me. Dislike.
Emmanuel ... It's alright, but I knew an Emmanuel and they called him Emma to make fun of him.
Esau (pronounced EE-saw) ... no
Ewan ... I much prefer Evan
Immanuel ... I prefer it with the e
Isaac ... I think of The Fault in Our Stars and the i-sick pronunciation. I really don't like consecutive letters (the a in this case) either.
Isaiah ... I really don't like it at all
Joel ... I prefer it over Joseph.
Jordan ... I hate how if someone says they know a person named Jordan, you just don't know if it's a boy or a girl anymore. I think of Jordans too and I don't like it for either gender at all.
Josiah ... I think of Josie and Josephine, which I don't really like.
Levi ... I don't like how Levi is similar to the word Levy.
Liam ... I like Liam a lot, because I know a boy and he's great. Despite its popularity, I like it.
Mateus ... I don't like it
Matthew ... it's alright.
Nahum (pronounced NAY-um) ... I still don't like it.
Nathan ... I prefer Nathaniel
Nehemiah ... no
Nekoda ... reminds me of Dakota. I prefer Dakota.
Noah ... too popular.
Paul ... kinda plain.
Peter ... I like Peter. It's soft and I think of Peter Rabbit.
Samuel ... I just don't like it all that much
Seth ... It's alright.
Thomas ... I like it
Timothy ... I think this name's kinda cute. I think of The Odd Life of Timothy Green and I love it.
Titus ... the nickanames... it's poor "Emma"manuel all over again
Tobiah ... no
Tobias ... not much better
Victor... I just don't like it.
