How to have Two operating systems run on two drive that are under one operating system?

I have a SSD and a hard drive. Both run under windows 8.1 I have the windows 8.1 operating systems run on the ssd and put some programs and files onto the hard drive.

How can I run two windows operating systems, but the second one be only on a portion of the hard drive?

    The second could be run as a virtual machine using programs such as VirtualBox or VMware Player.

    It's also possible to partition your HDD and install an OS there. When the PC boots you'll get an option on which OS to start. In this method you cannot run both OSes at the same time like with a virtual machine.

      For the virtual box and VMware player, is it able to save files to my computer as normal and can it go fullscreen?
