    For Confucianism:

    What is ethical?

--- Living a life of virtue.

How do we transcend the human condition?

--- This question is meaningless nonsense in a Confucian context. You cannot ever possibly transcend the human condition. You shouldn't try. And a good person wouldn't even want to.

    How do we attain salvation?

--- This question also is ridiculous in a Confucian context. There's nothing humans need to be saved from.

Read Jesus Sermon on the Mount, take it literally and do it. Follow the teachings of Sri Ramana Maharshi. Spiritual perfection in the Catholic religion is Union with God as it also is in the higher realms of Buddhism, and the Hindu Vedas. In the Bible when Jesus said, "Be you perfect even as your Father in Heaven is perfect." that is the English translation of the Greek. The Greek word translated as perfection does not mean the same thing as the English word perfection (with out flaw). The Greek word means full maturity as a red delicious apple is mature when it is a deep red and is ready to fall from the tree.

Source(s): Personal experience. and The Greek language.
