SSD problems?

Alright, so I got a 240G kingston SSD a while back, and my computer wont use it. It installed the drivers, and it comes up in the hardware list, but it wont load it as an additinal storage drive. It also shows up in the system bios, but it s showing up as a Master. I doubt that makes a difference because I can t seem to switch it to a slave via the bios, but I could easily be wrong. Anyone have any idea what the problem could be? Thanks for the help

In the search run box type dskmgmt.msc

a new windows will open and your SSD will be listed

Rt click on the drive and assign it a drive letter. Your drive should now appear in my computer

If the drive letter option is greyed out the format it first and partition it
