    Put the 7x on the other side

    3x-7x +24 =0

    Now put the 24 on the other side.

    -4x =-24

    Since they're both negative on both sides of the equation we can make them positive (multiply by -1)

    4x =24

    Now divide both sides by 4 to get the value of x

    X = 6

    3x + 24 = 7x

    Subtract both sides with 3x.

    24 = 7x - 3x

    Simplifying, we get

    24 = 4x

    Solving for x, we divide both sides by 4.

    So, x = 6. :)

    24= 7x -3x

    24=4x

    24/4=x

    6=x

    The 'modern way' would be to balance each side:

    3x-3x+24=7x-3x

    24=4x

    24/4=4x/4

    6=x

    You -3x from both sides of the equation, giving 24=4x

    24/4 gives you the value of X which is 6.

    So, X=6.
