A 6.79 kg bowling ball is dropped 2.85 m onto a large spring. If the bowling ball compresses the spring by 0.712 m, what must the spring constant of the spring be?

GPE gets transferred to SPE

M*g*(h + x) = 1/2*k*x^2

k = 2*(m*g*(h+x))/x^2

Plug in numbers

K = 936 N/m
