    Use the binomial probability formula.

    P(X = k) = C(n,k) * p^k * q^(n-k)

    n : number of trials (10)

    k : number of successes (3)

    p : probability of success (1/8)

    q : probability of failure (1-p = 7/8)

    P(X = 3) = C(10,3) * (1/8)^3 * (7/8)^7

    = 12,353,145 / 268,435,456

    The probability that an event with probability p occurs k times in n trials is given by the binomial distribution.

    P(k) = C(n,k) p^k (1 - p)^(n - k)

    This is in your textbook.
