Is Yahoo making this site not bring up things correctly just for ad revenue?
This website is so klutzy that it keeps coming up saying that there are no questions that meet your criteria (even when you did not specify any criteria under All Categories) or that a question is no longer available or under revue and you have to keep clicking reload repeatedly to get the question to come up. Or when answering a question it keeps saying there was a problem, so I copy my answer and then hit reload to see if it actually went through.
Do they do that just to increase ad revenue, so they can keep charging advertisers for ads even when the pages come up with no content other than the ads? I wonder if advertisers know that.
Actually I did not even realize that this question posted, because it said something like "There was a problem posting your question" in red when I tried to post it.
And when I tried to update it, it said "We are experiencing some problems, please try again." even though the 1st update was there after I reloaded the page (for more ads).

Yes. They should shut the whole mess down, if it is not going to function properly.

That is CLEARLY on the top 5 list of reasons.
The longer the glitches last........the longer you are forced to stare at all the stupid ads.
I am surprised they don't just completely freeze the boards, UNTIL you click on the ad.

Absolutely... more clicks, more activity, so they can charge more from their advertisers.
They figure, why fix anything, even if they could.
Yahoo also supports scammer like the answerer who doesn't use dashes in their phone number, so it won't be automatically flagged by the system.
Basically, those in control at Yahoo don't care about Yahoo Answers anymore. If they could fit more advertisements in, they would. . .
Edit: I had to click three times before my answer to your question when though. It stated that there was a problem, then tells me that I already answered your question (because it actually went through the first time).

"Is Yahoo making this site not bring up things correctly just for ad revenue?"
To be honest, I think the programmers are really klutzy. But they purposely make sure the ads do appear by priority. I've been here for a number of years. And the real programming problems began when they abandoned their bug-free green format for the purple one we see now.
From that point on, the programming created new issues. And every time they solved an issue it would create another one instead. And somehow they could never solve both issues, so it went from one to the other for periods at a time.
Shortly after the purple format, they began "optimizing" the code for mobile phones over desktop computers. This is when the issues multiplied. Now we have several issues going on that cannot be simultaneously resolved with others. And after they sold Yahoo a few months back, it seems like nobody really cares anymore.
