What was the population of Toronto around 1950?

Having a hard time finding anything out from Google.

    Really? Because I just typed in "Toronto population 1950" and came up with at least four links to websites that gave population estimates for that time.

    And the Census of Canada for 1951 has a chart showing the population counts for all major cities in Canada (over 100,000 people). Toronto's population was listed there

    Well, then, learn how to do simple grown-up research. I assume that the Canadian census agency has tons of data online. go to their website and find out. Idiot.
