He believes it's his duty. He believes he can't say no to the CIC. I feel bad for McMaster. I think he genuinely is trying to staunch the bleeding and prevent Trump from like, nuking Best Korea at 3AM and other world-destroying actions. But his reputation is now tainted. Trump is using him and going to spit him out covered in dogshait.

All Trump did was give the Russian's what they already had. So they'd think he was on the level instead of lieing to them. Mike

McMaster is both politician and military general. He will steer the narrow course between lying and telling the truth, so as to lay to rest the empty headlines of today, which will give way to substantial headlines tomorrow as Trump delves into Turkey, EU, Syria and beyond.

Because it's his job, and he wants to keep it. Because if its true, Trump could go down and could easily take him down too might be a good answer.

He's in too deep, doesn't want to let the country know how bad Trump is mentally.

He might think Pence is worse. He might not want to see the Republican party suffer, which means he'd rather see the country suffer. He's dancing as fast as he can. And still going down. A ten minute briefing isn't going to make this go away.

If he lied, it's a lie by omission. But he didn't lie technically.

On a question about if Trump divulged top secret information about where an operative is located, McMaster answers that everyone should know where ISIS is strong, and can figure out where he may be using public sources. Which means, yes, Trump absolutely, boneheadedly, divulged secret information that even allies did not know to an enemy which the US is sanctioning yet again this week.

This was technically not a lie, because it did not answer the question.

He isn't. Why do you assume that anyone who explains the truth and common sense is lying? Right. You're a liberal.
