There's a crap load of poodle mixes in shelters and rescues. I'm assuming that's what you mean by 'doodle" a poodle mix.

All sorts of dogs, all breeds end up in shelters at times. Blame the ignorance of humans. No dog should have to go to a shelter, ever

Yes I have - many. I go to the shelters to select for our rescue very frequently. Doodle mutts are not unique nor special.

    Of course they do.

They often end up dumped when people find they aren't hypoallergenic...

They also get dumped because they have crazy energy levels and some are difficult to train.

So yours is. Our neighbor has two from the same litter. One is a nice dog, the other has a horrid kinky coat and is near impossible to train (dumb as a rock). Mixing two breeds means that NONE of the good characteristics may pass on to the offspring, only the bad.

    Of course they do

Yes of course... when people realise that they are not hypoallergenic, that their coats can be a nightmare and their temperament isn't all it's cracked up to be !!!

All kinds of critters end up in shelters, including some purebreds.
