I drink 2 gallons of water everyday in an effort to be healthy. I cut out sod& juice from my diet. Is this too much water to drink daily?

That amount may be excessive. People should drink about .66 ounces of water for every pound of body weight. That would mean a person who weights 175 pounds should drink about 115 ounces of water (175 x .66). A person who weighs 105 pounds would only need 76 ounces. Of course, it also depends on the weather and activity level of the person.

Two gallons of water is 256 ounces, so a lot more than your body needs unless you are running a marathon in Death Valley.

Water intoxication only happens when you drink large amounts in a short amount of time (like a couple of hours).
