Can I upgrade my specific desktop?

Hello. Quick disclaimer; I know nothing about how computers work and doing the research is too bothersome and I don't know where to look. Hence why I am here.

I recently bought this big baby at my local best buy since I needed something for school and for gaming. https://www.bestbuy.ca/en-ca/product/asus-rog-stri...

Had it for three weeks, but lately found out that it only came with 8gb of ram installed. This isn't too bothersome as the computer runs perfectly fine and hasn't been a problem.

However, if I do plan to upgrade in the near future I would like to know if it is possible. Would I be able to upgrade the amount of ram that my computer holds?

Update:

Thanks so much for your information.

8gb is fine for normal usage with a 64bit operating system. However, you could always take your machine online to crucial.com, where you can have the system examined to see exactly what it contains and what it can accept in the way of upgrades. You don't have to buy from them.

Champer is correct, it is unlikely you will gain much benefit from upgrading from 8GB to 16GB. However if you wish to do so go to the crucial website and run the memory scanner tool, it will analyse your system, tell you how much, and what type of memory you have, and the maximum allowable
