Is it a bad idea to write a novel in colored pens/pencils; rather than black ink pens or regular pencils?

I don’t mean like when you just use them for writing down spelling corrections or little notes but also writing your book in different colors, especially if you want to do a play with other people or even just so others know who’s saying what on an audiobook.

That's a fine idea. Just be consistent in how you use the colors.

You would never get a handwritten novel published.

So yes, it's a bad idea.

Books won't get past a publisher if the manuscript is in different colors. My husband has written books and had them published and made a lot of money from them. The publisher say's yeah or nay on everything and it's one of the things they would say Nay on.

When we are talking about art, there is no 'bad' idea.. you try things, you see how it works, see if you like it, and then, continue doing it or not.. With art, you have to try many things, play around with it, to figure out what seems to be working..
