Does anyone have a tracking device for their vehicle? If so how does that work?

I'm going to be getting a car in 6 months and in going to be parking it at the transit center and take the bus still. I'm really worried that it might get stolen... :/ is there a way I can buy a tracking device in case that happens and the police can track them and find them?

Get a car that has an IMMOBILIZER. They are harder to get stolen.

Get a cheap burner phone to leave in the car, then track that with the "find my phone" app, or android device manager. Many trackers require a subscription for live tracking and are accurate to about 30 ft, or however the GPS satellites can see it. In covered parking lots or tunnels, it's completely lost. LoJack is an excellent tracker and police actually track stolen vehicles with them.

Yes. Onstar by General Motors does that.
