A bottom-dwelling invertebrate with a thick, calcareous exoskeleton, like a sand dollar or sea urchin.

A pet rock perhaps. All animals are much neutral buoyant, Many have cavities such as lungs or bladders they can regulate this with. A ballast to sink or float.

Try floating on your back, easy with full lungs, exhale, you sink and need to propel yourself or go to the bottom and drown.

A nursery web spider called a raft spider (fishing spider)can literally walk on water for fine hairs on their feet trapping air.

They displace more weight in water than their own weight.

They can also dive into water to catch small prey marine life and stay under water quite some time.

Turtles, like snapping turtles, do a good job at sinking. They are very bony and when they exhale they sink like a rock, they like to stay at the bottom to hide, and thus ambush prey.

    Siberian Tiger

It has the densest muscular and skeletal mass of any land animal. If you took one cubic inch of human muscle and one cubic inch of Siberian tiger muscle, the Siberian tiger muscle would weigh six times as much. That means that it is the heaviest for its size, causing it to sink the fastest with the least amount of water resistance slowing it down.
