WHY Was ISRAEL in such a hurry to convey to the Almighty, their Elohim, that they were ready to do whatever He said?

What would they say as time went on and realised that it was a lot more difficult than they perceived?

What would present day Israel think about their ancestors?

Can you see a little bit of yourselves in this folly or do you

think that it was logical and correct?

They believed they were ready, not pausing to realise what all this assertion would entail.

They wanted to impress upon the Lord their devotion to Him

They were in denial as to their own proclivity for righteousness.

Being in even more denial of reality regarding themselves than their ancestors,

present day Israel would think poorly of them - even be aghast at their

    disobedience, rebelliousness and stiff-neckedness.

I can see most of myself in this folly. Israel of old was much more spiritually endowed

being the natural branches, and they failed miserably. I'm the dregs and I expect much

more difficulty and much less zealousness for the Almighty.

Thank the Lord for His formula: Where sin abounds, grace much more abounds.

Exo 19:4  ‘You yourselves have seen what I did to the Egyptians, and how I bore you on eagles' wings and brought you to myself.

They had just witnessed the most powerful country in the world and its army be defeated. They saw the Red Sea split apart, as well as other miracles.

I'd be jumping on board the God Train too if I were them.
