Yes, but it's unhealthy. Your body needs at least 1,500-1,800 calories to function and lost weight. 2,000 calories if you are a man. If you eat less than that you are in for trouble.

I know someone who eats nothing but drinks tons of juices made from fruits and vegetables. This person is on medical grade iron supplements because this diet is damaging their health.

Yes, it's not all that uncommon.
But they have to be very careful to eat a wide variety, as otherwise they'll miss out on essential nutrition.

That person would become very weak and ill quite quickly. Edited to say that of course pulses would have to be an important part of the diet.
