How are HOA fees paid?

I’m considering buying a condo, which would of course mean I am responsible for paying HOA fees. How are these fees paid; by cash, check, or credit? By mail, in person or online? Will I receive a bill in the mail?

Usually by check or direct debit.

Depends on what types of payments the HOA accepts. It's totally up to them.

Make your purchase contract "subject to" review and acceptance of the HOA rules, regulations and budget.

    We pay ours by check.

Contact the HOA or read the bylaws.

We pay ours by check. We do not receive a bill. Everyone knows when the fee is due and a late fee is added if not received at the PO Box by ten days after the due date, no matter what the postmark says.

Depends on the association. You'll have to ask your agent.

Each HOA have different policies. You would need to ask them or read their bylaws.

My HOA accepts checks or debits from bank accounts.

Mine is set up to auto-debit each month.

varies by HOA, should never be cash, often is electronic...i just have my bank mail a check since the HOA refuses to join the 21st century, that way I have proof of payment, i doubt many take credit

My HOA sends out the bill at the beginning of the fiscal year...and its paid monthly
