What could have been done to prevent the Flint Water Crisis?

    If some of a former movie actor's "trickle down" economics had worked as he said they would, the citizens would have been steadily employed, and able to pay enough taxes to keep their infrastructure up to date. If that actor hadn't started the destruction of unionized labor, the city would have been run by honest people, instead of self serving 1% ers. I blame Reagan, the Republican party, and unfettered capitalism. A fully employed, healthy, and educated citizenry, is capable of electing competent people. Unemployment, destroys the school system, and most of the people in contact with it. This opens the door for opportunists, with personal agendas.

    Well...this is homework.

    There are several simple answers that your teacher probably would not like, such as:

    - You could have nuked Flint.

    - You could have sold the city to the Russians.

    - You could have evacuated the city.
