To have on a diet.

Kellogg's Cornflakes or plain original Cheerios?

Cheerios. The oats make them healthier.

Corn flakes are basically corn and sugar (but also: "fortified" with vitamins). The vitamins are the only thing really healthy about it. (Cheerios is also fortified, of course.)

Try "Basic 4"..  it's so good you'll eat the box..

Neither... grains aren't healthy for us, never were. They cause a blood sugar spike in our system. Corn flakes contain a few grams of sugar per serving. Plain old cheerios contain less than 9 grams of sugar per serving. Who needs to eat sugar?

Along with this, cereals are products containing GMOs.

And many contain glyphosate (a pesticide). Studies have shown that Cheerios are one of the cereals containing this pesticide.

Cheerios by a tiny margin because it has a higher fiber content, but neither one is a good choice for weight loss or improved health.  Sorry.

As other's have noted, all grains (corn, wheat, rice, oats, etc.) are metabolized into glucose (sugar), which you're cells use for fuel. Glucose requires insulin to get into your cells.  Insulin also tells your body not to burn stored fat because it is delivering glucose. Any glucose your body doesn't use right away is stored as fat. Glucose also causes systemic inflammation.

And,even when on a diet, grains and carbs are an important part of a balanced diet. And do not cause inflammation.

Cheerios are at least not GMO.

They are comparable in calories and carbs (both natural and added sugars -- both contain very little of the latter). Cheerios have a bit more fiber and protein and fat.

Eat fruits, veggies, lean meat, fish. Nuts (unsalted, no peanuts). Fresh ingredients. All in moderation. No processed foods. Cereal (even cornflakes) is full of sugar and whatnot.

Neither, try a bowl of porridge, it's far healthier than the other two.

Cornflakes. Stay away from Cheerios, hard on the digestive tract, causes a tremendous amount of gas.
