Why don't teenage girls aspire to be housewives anymore?

during the 1950's teenage girls aspired to be housewives when they were older, however that doesn't seem to be the case anymore and I'm just wondering but why not?

I mean wouldn't it be easier to take care of your house, husband and kids if all you did was stay at home?

You've never stayed at home for long periods with a few kids under five and full responsibility for the house, grocery shopping, cleaning, laundry, and everything else, have you?

It has always been the role of a woman to be the house wife or the homemaid, cooking cleaning taking care of the children, home and her husband. The man used to be the provider and the one that brought the "bread" home.

I think over time lots have changed!

Prices for everything has increased and a 1 person wage (unless you have a real good job) is not enough to run a house on and provide for your family especially if you have a few children.

Peoples wants and desires have increased and people have bills to pay that were "non exsistent back then. E.g wifi bills, top of the range mobile phone bills, Cars (car tax, petrol, etc)

Then a more recent agenda taken place was being that women wanted the same "equal" rights as men! In doing this it has meant giving up there roles as house wifes in prefernce to be the "breadwinners"

Children (especially girls) learn alot from there mothers. If there mother is not teaching that child a "housewife" type of role the chances are the child will grow up not knowing or not wanting to do that. The housewife role for women is slowly dying out.

All they have to do is stay home?  Being a housewife and stay-home mom is a tough job, dear.  And it's next to impossible today when 2 incomes are usually needed for survival.  Many girls still want marriage and kids but are putting it off until they have a career going that will help sustain the family.  They also need to take into consideration  the fact that many marriages don't last and they may end up supporting the whole thing alone.

Because fadan, if I were to take from you all your things which were created and brought to you with a help of working women, your life would be really miserable, and fadan there are still some women who want to be housewife, the question is if you fadan can afford to support your family all alone, all your, your wife's and your kids bills along with some kind of insure incase you cannot continue work anymore.

When feminists asked America to value us as housewives as much as they valued working men,

They emptied all houses and made everyone an employee.

Because they have realized that there is opportunity in this world that will never be realized by being chained to a man and his spawn.

Because maybe it's not just a woman's job to take care of the house, husband, and kids. Because maybe people aspire to bigger and better things than simply being married.
