Usually only one year from the date of the drawing.

For some of the national lotteries, if you have a claim but don't make it in time, they revoke the ticket and roll that money back into the next available drawing jackpot.  In the USA, some states (because they get tax revenue from payouts) only allow six months.  Others, one year.

In New Zealand it's a year. Just imagine if you realised you won the lottery a year and a half late. Wtf?

Depends on the state, usually a year, or until the game ends (in the case of scratch offs).

It should be indicated on the back of the ticket.

It’s normally a year. There are exceptions though.

Read the back of the ticket or check their website

Just cash it in as soon as you are able to but I don’t think there is a deadline expiration date but I wouldn’t wait past a couple of months
