sammy the salmon can swim 30 miles downstream in the same amount of time he can swim 10 miles up stream. Sammy swims 8 miles per hour in still water what is the speed of the current?

    30/(8 + c)= 10/(8 - c)

    240 - 30c= 80 + 10c

    40c= 160; c= 4 mph
