How to get over leg soreness.?

So I have been working out for years and the last year or so I’ve hit legs a lot harder (ngl like the first 2 years of working out I barely touched legs). Is there anyway to get over the leg soreness? I stay sore for about 5-7 days at a time and it makes my leg days spread far apart.

    Getting sore muscles a day or two after an intensive workout or rigorous exercise is normal, especially if you are increasing your exercise intensity or starting on a new sport or exercise. The delayed muscle aches and muscle pain are caused by tiny injuries in the muscle fibre and connective tissue.
