A new car is tested on a 260-m-diameter track.
If the car speeds up at a steady 1.2 m/s2 , how long after starting is the magnitude of its centripetal acceleration equal to the tangential acceleration?

...
find target v
v^2/r = 1.2
v^2 = 1.2(260) = 312
v = 17.6635
find time to this speed
a = delta(v) / t
t = 17.6635 / 1.2 = 14.72 s
or 15 s tp 2 sig figs
