How could you make a red blood cell with semipermeable membrane explode from osmotic pressure? If osmotic pressure were to make it explode, would it be in a hypotonic or hypertonic environment?

Please help.

Thanks.

putting it in clean water or a hypotonic solution would do the trick.

The higher concentration inside the cell makes it "suck in" the water
