Can someone please help and explain this chemistry problem?

Determine how many times more acidic or basic a solution is (how many times greater the concentration of hydronium ion [H3O+]) at

a. pH 2 relative to pH 4

    pH is a logarithmic scale

    so if we compare pH4/ pH2 we get 2

    with logs 2 is a power so the answer is 10^2 or 100

    pH 2 is 100 * more acidic than a solution with ph 4
