Is this reaction exothermic or endothermic?

A "coffee-cup" calorimetry experiment is run for the dissolution of 3.20 g of aluminum nitrate placed into 103.2 mL of water. The temperature of the solution is initially at 23.2 C. After the reaction takes place, the temperature of the solution is 17.7 C.

Also what kind of reaction is this?

The temperature decreased, so the reaction is endothermic.

I would say it's not really a reaction, but in any case it is called a dissociation.

Just figure out if it gives off heat or not and you have your answer.
