Why can't I have wooden teeth?

    Why not?  It's not against the law or anything.  If you want to have wooden teeth, go ahead! 

    I think something really hard and relatively waterproof like lignam vitae or eucalyptus would work best.  (Eucalyptus would give you nice breath too!)  You could probably do them yourself, if you're good at carving.

    (BTW I saw a set of George Washington's false teeth at the Smithsonian many years ago.  They weren't wood, they were actually made from hippopotamus ivory, which must have been hella expensive in those days.  They had a big metal spring to keep them pressed against his gums, which must have been very uncomfortable.  When Washington left office, he had only one natural tooth left!)
