If you were transported to the past. and was in some of the biggest wars in history. What inventions could you implement to fight them.?

Lets say you came back to the past wars but could remember blueprints for any invention of today, but only had the materials of that age. Lets say the wars during the roman empire.

What invention/s would you have ordered the blacksmiths/chemists of those days to make?

(excluding battle tactics and strategy, but just gadgets, youre not allowed to teach them actual strategies, and historical happenings etc)

(note you have limited resources -only what they could harvest and craft), not magically conjure up a nuke.

Gunpowder is readily craftable. The Romans already had decent metallurgy and (depending on time period) have access to oil rich regions. So why not give them tanks? If no oil then using gunpowder weapons (lets go straight to automatic weapons) go and conquer the oil rich regions.

If you don't mind about the horrible immorality of it, you could probably pretty easily cook up some chemical weapons or gather various germs for biological weapons.
