Kelp, algae, powdered fish remains, chicken manure and a dozen other sources are very good natural fertilizers, and some of them, like bone meal and leaf mold, actually build soil. Controlling pests in a garden is one thing, on a farm another. You need local knowledge of which pests to control. Helping native bird populations has an impact, but most organic farmers simply accept a certain amount of damage. There are international organizations of organic farmers.
