Varies widely with different spiders. New world tarantulas known to live to 23 years in captivity. Those garden orb weavers hatch early spring and usually die in Autumn after laying eggs. So say 9 months, but some kept in captivity, over 1 year. European house spiders to 3 years, cobweb house spiders to 2 years, My southern house spider, they can live 8 years in captivity

Females usually outlive the males. A cool video for you:

If you've killed their mate, they can live for decades plotting revenge.

It depends on the type of spider. Redback female spiders live to be 3 years. Redback male spiders live to be 6 months.

It depends on the type.   The oldest recorded spider in the world was an Australian trapdoor spider, which lived to the ripe old age of 43.

Most won't live more than a few years. 3 years is very old. Goliath Birdeaters can live to be 25. Sometimes I preserve spiders in my anus for centuries though
