Degree Symbol for Windows 10?
Does anybody know how to obtain the degree symbol for windows 10. I've tried hitting alt 248 & alt 0176 & that doesn't work. Thanks for your help.

There are keyboard shortcuts, but also there is the Character Map.
Using the Search bar on Windows 10, type Char and select the character Map from the list.
You can find the symbol you want (even select another font for special characters) and then click Select, then click Copy, and then you can paste the special character in your document. (also note that the KB Shortcuts are shown in the lower right of the Char Map Window.) Keyboard Shortcuts are faster, but this has a wide variety of symbols and needs to be mentioned.

Place the cursor where you want to insert the degree symbol.
On your keyboard, press Alt + 0176. Note: This method works only for keyboards that include a 10-key numeric pad.

° the degree symbol. I type ALT 248. You have to use the keypad NOT the number keys across the top of the keyboard.

Press and hold the ALT key and type 0176 on the numeric keypad of your keyboard. Make sure the NumLock is on and type 0176 with the leading zero. If there is no numeric keypad, press and hold the Fn before typing the 0176 numbers of degree symbol.
If using MS Office Open office choose Insert then the symbol choice (top right) on the small down arrow choose more symbol and an electronic keyboard will be displayed. Choose the degree symbol from that keyboard.
