Why is my FICO score lower than my credit score on credit karma?

FICO is a company. Transunion, Equifax and Experian are companies. Credit Karma pulls data from two of those last three. They do not work directly with FICO.

Because Credit Karma makes up its own scores to save money. It costs about $10 to get a real FICO score and Credit Karma doesn't charge you what they would need to able to give out real FICO scores.

You have several different scores, one from each credit reporting company and your FICO score. Each uses its own formula.

Slight differences in both the score and the timing.

Different credit companies produce different scores from the same data and credit scores change frequently so the time at which the service grabbed the score will produce different results.
