What quantity of heat energy is released when 335 g of liquid water freezes? Answer in units of kJ.?

    Hi. Kayla

      ...  you need a constant called the latent heat of fusion.  I'm sure this is in your book somewhere ..  If I remember it correctly it is 335 J/g

       just multiply the mass in grams by this constant .. 

        Q = m X Lf  =  335g  X  335J/g  =  112,225 J

       convert to kJ  ... divide by 1000  =  112.225 kJ  <<< round for sig. figs

         Q = 112kJ  >>> answer
