    No, not really but the words in songs are amazing,

    True.   Did you ever listen to the theme song lyrics on some of the old TV programs?  In the 1950's, writers worked much harder at creating good lyrics to their songs.   I find that I actually have to listen harder to the old stuff, to catch it all.   

    Today's songs seem to have the most minimal lyrics.   Kinda boring, really.

    Only onomatopoeic words can be sound effects in addition to their meaning. So lots of words, although rich in meaning are not sound effects at all.
