Why don't Amazon workers get health insurance when Bezos is the richest man alive?
- Casey YLv 74 weeks ago
His personal wealth and the profitability of the company may be tied...but profitability of the company is what the board wants...
Its more profitable to not offer health insurance unless required by law...simple economics...his personal wealth has nothing to do with this decision.

They do, where it is law. If they are only part-time workers, then there is none for anybody, from any employer. How much the owner has in assets has nothing to do with it.Source(s): Certified Paralegal, with 25+ years' experience.

What does Bezo's personal wealth have to do with it?
Amazon is a PUBLICLY TRADED COMPANY. He is a member of the Amazon Board of Directors, not the only member. And is an employee of Amazon.
If you had a job, you would be an employee. Would you give your co-workers your personal money?
